You know, I had five million things on my mind that I wanted to talk about tonight and now that I've sat down to the computer, I cannot remember a single one of them. I guess I'll just have to make small talk about these booties since they are awesome. They've become the dark horse of my closet, I wear them often and that sort of surprises me since they're just plain black booties. But they're perfect because of that, they're actually comfortable to walk around in all day long, they go with everything, have a thicker heel and they don't give me sausage legs or cankles. (Ah, cankle booties. Who doesn't love those?)
Yeah, that's about all of the small talk I've got in me.

ReplyDeleteI love the outfit, leather jacket is so bad ass!
oh, those booties indeed are sweet! such a nice shape too..
ReplyDeleteand actually the whole outfit is pretty much perfection in my book. I love the leather jacket (and still don't own one, boo), the way you have belted that flowy skirt is awesome, the pattern is awesome, your necklaces are awesome.. gosh, you probably get the picture anyway - I love the whole look!! and the photos are beautiful too, of course.

I hate it when all of my "brilliant" ideas suddenly desert me. I always think that I've forgotten something that would've been great. Eh, coulda, shoulda, woulda...:) Sometimes small talk is the best way to go about things, especially with booties like these! They look so chic AND comfortable!! Great skirt too and that cow skull necklace... That is just beyond cool.
ReplyDeleteKatie, that skirt! SO pretty - love the way it poofs out a bit, and what a pretty pattern. And yes - those ankle boots are awesome :)

ahhh i do love those booties. so cute! and the photos are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHi Katie,
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty in this outfit. You look so glamorous with your curves.
Ohhh, I can't believe that those booties have such high heels and still are comfortable! I wished I owned a pair of booties like that! I love those tights!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment dear, it does make sense, as we get older we somehow find ourselves more in tune with what we would like our style to be. I have a favorite pair of black boots too, those are the ones that keep going when every other pair fails, love yours, and the gorgeous skirt, what a lovely flair to it, reminds me of the Dior prints. Happy Friday doll!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color that top is, it looks so comfy too! The pictures of the sun on the snow are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great day!

I feel like every time I comment on a post of yours, I just list off every single thing in your outfit as something I love. But I really just all of it, just like with this outfit. First, I am literally drooling over this skirt. It's so pretty and I love that you paired it with a leather jacket (I also like that we're both wearing leather jackets on our blogs today). Second, I'm with you on the booties, they're awesome. Last, those tights! Gah, I just love it all.
ReplyDeleteI love your skirt! The pairing of the pretty floral skirt with the tights that look like fishnets is really fun. Also, I'm still jealous of your leather jacket find at the thrift store.
ReplyDeletesometimes we forget how important it is to have those basic, comfortable neutrals to turn to.
ReplyDeletethe light in these photos is great - you must be so happy the days are getting long now.
Chic on the Cheap
Hehehe, cankle booties...I've had too many of those in my past -_-
ReplyDeleteI do love those basic black boots you're rocking though! I can see why you'd end up wearing them so much.
Also, your tights! You have the perfect textured pairs :D
And I feel you on not knowing what to post about. If I didn't have some CG tales to share, my posts would probably be much shorter...haha

completely lovely is what i thought when i saw these images. i would love those black boots too. i favor the way you combined texture with the tights skirt belt, necklace. did you fish tail your hair? i wish i could do that. ;)
