Beware, Alaskan Alligators!
Old Navy Denim Jacket
American Eagle Dress and Scarf

Chinese Laundry Tights

Michael Green Leather Handbag (thrifted)
Icing Earrings
Vintage Silver Rings
It was a good hair day and those have been few and far between lately. (Finally, the bangs decided to mind their manners and get with the program.) Good thing it was decent hair day, it sort of made up for the very bad, no good face day, with the weather swinging all over the place my face has just been breaking out like crazy.
We were hanging out down by the river afterwards and Izzy suddenly started yelling "Alligator! Alligator!" Since alligators are not native to Alaska and because you should always look when someone yells alligator, I looked. It ended up being a little river otter that was hanging out next to the bank just about 10 down from us and darn if he wasn't the cutest little guy ever. He was messing around with the ducks and gave us quite a show for a little while. It's funny, I never thought that I would see river otters in town but this is the third time this year we've spotted one.
It's the forth day this week that the weather has been 30 plus degrees and I am loving it. It's so nice to just toss on a little jacket and still be warm. (Although, I was still overdressed by Fairbanks standards, we saw a dude jogging shirtless. It hits 30 degrees in the winter and man, the clothes just come flying off up here.)

winter, snow and no shirts? quite strange, I must say, haha, since you can't spot stuff like that in Estonia. it's snowing like crazy again and I'm not happy about it.
ReplyDeleteanyway, I like those photos a lot! and I mean A LOT! I also like everything about your outfit. the white dress+dark belt combo, the beautiful handbag and rings. Katie, you always have the coolest handbags. classy and cute. and your rings' collection is remarkable too!
happy Friday and happy March!

Haha, I think every day is good hairday, your hair always looks so beautiful!!! You are getting better and better with the camera, I like the different angles of the photos, great job. And awesome jacket, the bag rocks!
ReplyDeleteHaha, that last sentence sent me into a fit of giggles. Imagining clothes flying off you Alaskan natives when its 30 (at which temperature I'm still a wimp bundled up in layers) is too funny! xD
ReplyDeleteI envy your thick skin though - you can get away with dressing so cutely despite the weather. Gorgeous photos and outfit as usual Katie. The scarf is perfect! And your hair is looking quite lovely indeed. Pff, and what skin problem? Don't even get me started...my skin has been acting up so I've tried avoiding any close detail shots near my face!
Trendy Teal
Very beautiful photos! I love the color of your hair and that scarf is awesome.

Perfect combination I am a big fan of jeans jacket and dresses combination :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty white dress and I love the print on your scarf! I think I have on more layers than you do when it's 45 here :) Happy Friday!

katie, your hair does look good, but so does your outfit, and your face! i was like alligator? what? river otter, wow! i'm laughing about the clothes coming off at 30 degrees, we'd be freezing bundling up with our teeth chattering, it's too cold! waaaa (that's my internet typing sound for fake crying) ;)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, 30 degrees is totally shirtless weather! Actually, the race I ran last weekend I ran in short sleeves and arm warmers and was almost too warm. It was almost 30 degrees and sunny and I could have totally run in short sleeves.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm sad that you didn't post any action photos you hoping up on that railing :-)
Love the white dress and the scarf! You look stunning!

I love the concept of a little white dress for winter! (especially with that denim jacket:)
ReplyDeleteConsidering how different Alaska is to most places that have alligators, I have no idea what I'd expect. Some incredible snow beast, probably.

I love reading your perception of weather, Katie! I'm at the point now where I think 30 degrees isn't that bad, but definitely not warm! Either way, I love how spring-y this looks. You look so cute in a denim jacket! Also, the title of this made me laugh :)
ReplyDeleteAnother excellent outfit Katiet! I have pinned the 7th photo from the top to my winter style board that is how much I love this outfit! I especially like the red color of your handbag and how it match your hair color.
ReplyDeleteHahaha we have about the same temperature here and today when took my outfit photos I was thinking that it felt pretty ok to not wear a coat during the photo session! It is obvious that everything depends on what you compare it too!
There are so many things I love about this outfit! Especially the scarf.(that's my favorite scarf of your's!) I love how it adds to the white dress+denim jacket combo. And your tights have such a cool subtle pattern on it and it's a cool color...hahah DOUBLE COOL. You really are having a good hair day, but I always think your hair looks nice. Like ahhhh it's such a nice red color.
ReplyDeleteAwww a river otter :) So cute. But wow shirtless when it's 30 degrees outside??!!! HOW?! hahaha i want to know the secret. And thank you for your awesome outfit idea with the teal vest! That's such a good idea to wear it with my white dress :)
