Whoa, wait a minute this looks familiar! Polka dot pants, parka, scarf, boots, didn't I wear this yesterday? I guess I'm just in repetitive mode right now but it seemed like the poor purple pants needed a redemption. The past few times I've worn them the outfits haven't even made it to the blog, they were that sad looking. (For some reason I always want to over accessorize these pants when simple really is best. they are purple polka dotted pants after all, they don't really need bells and whistles.)
It was so warm today, it was actually quite a pleasure getting outside. Ah, if only it could be 30 degrees all winter. (Wistful thinking here, at least the -40 below makes me appreciate days like this in the middle of winter.) It's so nice to get outside for a while without piling on the layers, at this temperature a coat really is all you need.
Haha, I was about to say "Hey, lookie, another pair of polka dot pants!" I do the same thing when I love a print. My floral jeans are getting a looooot of use during the school week...hehe I'd probably wear them everyday if I wasn't running into the same people all the time...including that cute guy....lol
ReplyDeleteI love that deep red sweater and cozy knit scarf you're rocking though! Such a pretty combo :)

ReplyDeleteI love your polka dot pants. They are so cute, and they go really well with your jumper. Also, the coat is great, I really need one as its getting colder in England!

the polka dot pants are so cute:) wow... you have a lot of snow! it's snowing non-stop here too! eventhough it looks beautiful i can't wait for warmer days!!
ReplyDeletelots of love xx
Great scarf! And we've been blessed with lots of snow here. Don't know how you do it!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with playing favourites with your closet. I agree about not over-adorning the pants, which I why I really like the first photo before you remove the jacket. The muted tones of your jacket, scarf and purse, but in mixed textures, really complement .the pants nicely. It's casual chic and perfect for a busy day of running around.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos! your outfit is perfect, i'm still looking for a coat like that :)

oh, such beautiful sunshine! I totally miss that because it has been all about snow and bad weather here in Estonia. I'm even quite desperate about spring (and summer) already and am counting the months that are left till my first vacation. looks like an endless wait though..
ReplyDeleteanyway, those polka dot pants ARE the cutest for sure and your burgundy sweater is lovely too. yesterday/today I was wearing a burgundy top and burgundy pants together.. that's quite a lot burgundy at once, isn't it, hehe? but that colour kind of makes me happy.

Hi dear, thanks so much for all your fashionably insightful comments. You always bring life to the most interesting and mazing new colour combinations, I am inspired to experiment with different shades after seeing your outfits. Love the burgundy sweater and cozy scarf.
ReplyDeleteAdorable as always, Katie.
ReplyDeleteI like the color combination; its so unexpected. Somehow you make things work, and they seem to work for your lifestyle too.
It's the polka dotted purple pants! Love how you wore it with the olive color parka and the chunky knits. Makes it so cute for wintertime. And the more polka dot pants, the better! I love looking at outfits with polka dots so that's awesome that you wore similar outfits :)
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with repeating an outfit :) Especially when it involves adorable polka dot pants...love it!

I wondered if these were the polka dots pants you referenced in your last post but was hoping they weren't going to the thrifting room floor! I love these pants! They look great with the burgundy sweater. And, you're right, they don't need a lot of accessorizing since they are a statement piece all on their own.
